Infram advises the full range: from dike inspectors to the Delta Committee

Water literally shaped the Netherlands and taught the Dutch how to join forces in order to survive. Yet, the present-day water domain is rather segmented. Working together implies crossing administrative and organisational boundaries. Infram assists and advises its clients in this by bringing these different worlds together. This could include advice in general and broad Dutch water issues, such as on flood defence, water management and water management systems. But also includes, for example, policy formulation and development, construction of dikes,  instructing dike inspectors and assisting the National Delta Committee.

Sound water management implies more than focus on strong flood defences, function-based water levels and/or water quality. It implies the mutual integration of these fields with other fields. Nowadays, administrators need to connect divergent stakes through a sound approach. Recently this was formulated for the Netherlands by the Dutch Delta Committee, for which Infram was one of the main advisors. The Delta Committee stressed that a strong and sound flood defence system ánd a secure fresh water supply are boundary conditions for the country to prosper.. Based on our experience, Infram is very capable in assisting policy makers and societal partners in developing such a vision while  looking to create opportunities for spatial development, economic development and, of course, for sound water management.
