Breakwaters and coastal structures
We have extensive (international) experience in the field of
breakwaters, coastal structures, caissons, hydro power dams, seawalls,
low-crested structures, groynes and similar structures. We give advice on
conceptual design, support and review in the field of stability of:
- rock slopes
- rubble mound structures with concrete armour units
- vertical structures, etc.
and of functional design:
- wave transmission
- wave overtopping
- wave reflection

Technical support to the contractor during construction of a
breakwater. Detailed advice on acceptable risk during construction in winter,
maximum placing density of large rock, strength of large concrete units and
stability during wave overtopping.
